www.clivebarker.info/intsrevel23.htmlThis was an interview back in October, I never saw it mentioned on here so I figured I'd post. It mentioned a couple of things I thought were pretty important. The first things being the title of book 4 "The Dynasty of Dreamers" and a possible title for book 5 "Eternal: All Things, Out of Time". Along with that, it mentioned that Clive has eight painted pages of a book called Abarataraba, which is a "Bible" for Abaratian magic, but is also a set of tarot cards and basically the name for anything related to Abaratian magic. So... just a couple of random new facts, but interesting nonetheless. Any opinions on this information? I'm personally loving the palindrome

The glyph what you're thinking of?
Yeah, that would be fun to add to the Abarat collection.

Well, if you look at the Abarat books, the title is written in such a way that if you turn the book upside down, it still reads "Abarat". I memorized the glyph incantation. Entirely by accident. I'm pathetic.

Clive Barker has started writing book 4! "It's way too hot to sleep, so I have started the next, penultimate Abarat book. Writing in the sweaty, silent night reminds me of writing Galilee on the island of Kaua'i'. The only thing that's missing is the soft gather and break of the night tide.I loved that island but I'm afraid its memories are more bitter now; so much has changed." It's quite interesting to come back to this thread after having read book three...It definitely seems like there is more to the Abarataraba than we thought, but it's kind of hard to tell if anything's changed since this interview...Are the tarots still part of the Abarataraba? Has Clive painted all of them? He says he's painted six of the eight Abarataraba pages...What does this mean? Are there four more of what we saw in book three (or would that be five more, since wasn't that just one page, even though it was spread across two pages of the book?)? That must have taken awhile to paint...The piece of notebook paper is the cover to...What? The painting collection? That seems unlikely, why would they be that small. A collection of notes on the Abarataraba and the Tarot? Probably something like that. Not to mention that they can apparently spend twenty whole minutes talking about just the Abarataraba...
Apparently the man in the suit is King Claus? I always thought it was the guy who painted The Beautiful Moment...
And it's a real shame that those...trading cards? Mentioned in the last paragraph of the interview never happened...I would have liked to see the bios for the characters.

Hmm.. I haven't read the book in quite awhile, but I remember the Abarataraba being just colored squares, so I don't think the tarot cards are a part of that anymore. But those tarot cards are absolutely beautiful, and are definitely some of my favorite images from Book 3. So glad he included them.
