Now this board's even less active than it was. At least every once in awhile I could do on chat and talk about whatever Clive Barker thing I read recently or respond to what other people were saying, but now there's almost nothing going on. Though I guess us members aren't entirely to blame as we talked about the most recent piece of Abarat IV news and there hasn't been anything since then, which has been awhile...I still, I wish we had the chat to help pass the time.

Yes, I miss the chat, too. At least when the third novel was in the works the second novel had a good cut off point for discussions and ideas. The third book's ending doesn't give us as much room. What other world are Candy, Malingo, and that Gazza guy really in? We haven't had a good glimpse of this world below Abarat yet and so there is nothing to ruminate on. Of course, there are the theories on characters and their motivations jumbled around, but we have already had our midnight. What else can there be? There stars and the moon were blotted out and the plot for the first and second novels almost smoothed over. I guess in short, most open plots have been closed. Clive could take us anywhere in the next novel, but the problem is that we don't have two books of what might happen on our side now. That might be why the chat slowed down. Just a guess.

The sad part is I don't think anybody's ever coming back to this amazing forum. I love this forum, and I'm so sad to see that I'll be the only person on here ever from now on  Well, I'll never leave. I'll always hope one of you comes back some day!

I'm also sure that the people who kept this forum alive before will come back once the fourth novel is published. Once a reader of Abarat, always a reader of Abarat.

That's true but a lot left when Absolute Midnight came out, only about 1/3 to 1/2 of the population came back XD!!! We just need more.

Yeah, the chat was a nice way to easily talk to everyone about what's up or the latest news. I just started to use it and now it's gone, lol. Also, the design for this forum site changed and I was like, uh o___o It's 10 times wider-looking now too, lol. But those little "like" buttons for each post are so cool! :-)
I haven't seen any significant updates on Abarat IV on Clive's facebook or twitter...I mean, all I've seen is that he said he's working to finish the Scarlet Gospels and once that's done he'll go back to working on Abarat IV. Personally, I hope he'll give us a more specific date for when he believes Abarat IV will be released. A definite time of release will force me to be calmer about it because I'll direct my energy to look forward to that time. (If that makes any sense). Right now I'm just a bit restless. Ah me and my impatience!
Anyway, no matter how little the activity is here or how infrequent the Abarat news is, it's all still something! :-) I'll try to post more often, but I get caught up with life in general and I don't post much on forums and stuff. But for the Abarat, I will! haha.
I don't know why it was taken out, but if possible, could the setup of this forum site be changed to include the chat again?
Hope you all are doing well :-)
