Aw the first one is so sad. And for some reason I couldn't get a song link from the second one.

The lyrics fit so perfectly with Christopher Carrion. youtu.be/XfuBREMXxts"I thought love was only true in fairy tales Meant for someone else but not for me Love was out to get me That's the way it seemed. Disappointment haunted all my dreams. And then I saw her face Now I'm a believer Not a trace Of doubt in my mind I'm in love ooooo whoa I'm a believer I couldn't leave her if I tried. I thought love was more or less a givin' thing. Seems the more I gave the less I got. What's the use in trying? All you get is pain. When I needed sunshine I got rain..."

It's interesting because the lyrics of these songs are often very fitting to the characters, the music is just so unfitting. In all the time that I've been matching songs to characters, I've usually gone the opposite route, paying more attention to atmosphere than to lyrics (especially since I listen to so much classical music where the lyrics are in latin and German and mostly about Jesus anyways). These are the songs I associate with Christopher Carrion: Salve Regina- Arvo PärtProbably not everyone's cup of tea as it's so slow for the majority of the song. I like to crank up the sound so I can hear all the intricacies of the music. It seems to suit him- I imagine him in various scenes, walking through the forests full of hanged corpses and remembering his life, talking to Candy in the stairwell and so on. It's a very delicate song, so sad, and then so powerfully mournful at the 8:30 mark. Pruit Igoe and Prophecies- Philip GlassI listened to this song a lot when reading the third book. Again with the organ and voices. It seems suitably dark, but the middle section also seems to capture his rage at the world, his tendency to lash out violently. I see a lot of him with his father, quite sad. Also, a song for resurrected Boa trying to eat everything: In Silence- Datach'iJust freaky and disturbing, thought it fit her. This song also seems fitting for when the world is beginning to end- ie. sacbrood everywhere, people fleeing. I know that's not for a character, oh well.
