I love Clive Barkers paintings. They are unique and he show talent in both sketching a simple black and white sketch on a piece of paper or making a huge painting with tons of different oil colors in it. But as an art student, I`m curious what kind of status does Clive Barker has in the art world? I think his work fits in the fantasy genre but I`m curious how a serious art reviewer/critique thinks about his work?
None of my teachers know about his work and most of my classmates knows him from the horror movies. I know he have show his work in huge galleries but what does the art world think of him?
