I'm sure I'll think of something else after I post, but oh well, here goes:
1) Everything by Jane Austen (First started reading them when I was 12, and have never stopped picking them up.)
2) Treasure Island -- Robert Louis Stevenson (Looove Long John Silver, you never knew if you could trust him or not.)
3) Doctor Faustus -- Christopher Marlowe (Ok, this is a play, but the devils rock! Plus it was the book that got me my A-level in EngLit, so I have a lot to thank it for.)
4) Firethorn -- Sarah Micklem (I'm waiting for the sequel....)
5) The Princess Bride -- William Goldman (Haha, everyone's seen the film, right?)
6) Philippa Gregory's historic novels.
7) The Phantom of the Opera
And of course the Abarat!!

I just wanted to pop in and say that in my first list above, I completely forgot a couple of my absolute favorites -
The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo The Shining by Stephen King The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux
(I also really liked the Artemis Fowl books, The Song of the Lioness series by Tamora Pierce... plus this trilogy of books called The Darkangel which is similar to Twilight but came out in the early 1980s and is written like ten billion times better, but I haven't read any of these books in ages, so I don't know if they'd be on my list today)

That's wonderful, I only know one other person who've read those books. ;D I'd like to read them in English, actually, I think that they may give off a different feeling than when read it Swedish. I really loved them, but the ending? Sort of a let down.
