Fact or FictionAlright, this is pretty simple. I've had to play it for icebreakers plenty of times. I'm about to say two facts and one lie about a chapter in the book and you all have to guess which one I made up. Try not to cheat... The Fantomaya leave from the Palace of Powers on the Lyre to save Boa's soul. They require a blessing from the goddess of the Moon in order to survive the storm. The box that contains Boa's soul is covered in talismans. Alright good luck

The previous one was from the prologue of the first book.
This one is from the first chapter.
The new part of Norma Lipnik's hotel was built in 1964.
Norma is on her second marriage.
In Henry's time, the hotel was called the High Seas Hotel.
Maybe you can consider these bad summaries of the chapters. They'll prod you into remembering everything in time for the third book!

Miss Schwartz once said to Candy "Can't you tell the difference between fact and fiction?" Which I think is a good quote for this game. Well, can you? hahaha
Ch 2: What Henry Murkitt Left Behind
Candy's left eye is blue.
There is no wallpaper in Room Nineteen.
A sextant navigates using the stars.

Oh boy...I have a feeling I am not gonna do well on these. For the prologue I choose....Statement #1. I don't recall there ever being a mention of the place where they left from. For chapter 1 I choose...Frick, I'm thinking one but I just chose one....I'll go with Statement 3. High Seas seems kind of weird as there was no sea in sight Unless this was back when humans had contact with the Abarat, I don't remember. For chapter 2 I choose...Statement #2. I feel like maybe one section didn't have wallpaper, but I think I would have remembered it if it had none at all. EDIT: Statement #1 if we're going with her left, which we probably are.
I did no research on stuff I could have looked up. I feel like I'm wrong about most of these, since I haven't read the books in awhile.

I agree, they're definitely overly detailed. But after we'll all be superfans In the prologue: The Fantomaya are in a storm carrying Boa’s soul in a box. They require Lady Moon’s blessing to survive from their sacrilegious deed. They arrive at the pier in the Hereafter while mentioning they are from the Abarat. Diamanda tells Joephi and Mespa near the beginning "Nobody saw us leave the Palace of Bowers. We escaped unseen, I'm certain of it." They did leave from somewhere, but it wasn't called the Palace of Powers. This one was nitpicky by me. Ch 1: Candy attempts to find facts about Chickentown for a school project but finds nothing interesting. Her mother gives her the clue to ask Norma about Henry Murkitt. When Candy arrives her and Norma begin to catch up and Norma gripes, saying "Men. You stay away from them, darlin'. They are more trouble than they're worth. I'm on my third marriage, and I don't give that more than two months.Ch 2: Norma tells Candy the story of Henry Murkitt and why he killed himself. Candy looks in the grimy bathroom mirror and describes herself thusly: She had her mother's smile, open and easy, and her father's frown; .... And of course her odd eyes: the left dark brown, the right blue; though the mirror reversed them.

Ch 3: Doodle
Miss Schwartz's favorite student is Deborah Hackbarth.
Two students had been expelled two weeks before because of extreme discourtesy towards a teacher.
Miss Schwartz knocks Candy's supplies from her desk unintentionally.
