What do you think will be Candy's ultimate destiny in the book?
What do you think will be Carrion's ultimate destiny in the book?
What do you think will be Boa's ultimate destiny in the book?
Any other bold predictions?

Candy's Ultimate Destiny: I believe that at some point, she'll have an identity crisis, of course, because she has another soul in her body. She'll start to question if people like her for her and not Boa. She'll wonder if the powers she had been using are hers or not. Does she, Candy, belong in the Abarat, or was she just a vessel for Boa? And then come the "is this even my body" doubts. Knowing Candy, she'll probably want to sacrifice herself to let Boa do what she has to do to save the Abarat, but in the end, it will be Candy doing the saving. And just because I have a completely soft spot for this, Malingo and Candy will live happily ever after. THERE! Boa's Ultimate Destiny: I have a feeling that Boa will get tired of being Miss Goody-Goody. I don't know why, but she's too good to be true. Maybe she'll try and force Candy out of her body. Maybe she'll try and find her own sneaky-like manner way to be with Hobb. I don't know, but I have a strange feeling that she can't stay alive too long. She was originally suppose to be dead. She's a soul without a body, and I don't think that she can just stay in Candy's now that she's been found out... Carrion's Ultimate Fate: Well then, what to do here...not terribly sure about him. Of course he's too used to being bad. Perhaps he finds his father (who I believe might have turned good, though I have no proof) and some of that good might rub off on Carrion? I know Carrion's pride has been completely torn into pieces, so he'll have a go at Mater Motley as well. I think in the end, he finally does some good, but as a self sacrifice. You know, in the true anti-hero fashion. I would rather it not end like that, but I sense many main characters being written out by the end of the 5th book. On that note...

Inumaru has some points that I agree with, as well. I believe Boa and Candy will begin to battle for control over their shared body. I think Boa is going to start to become somewhat of an antagonist for Candy. It's not unheard of for Clive's protagonists to die, but I think ultimately Candy will overcome Boa. Perhaps their bodies will be separated and Boa can peacefully move on, or perhaps there is a literal battle (not as figurative as the battle I referred to before) in which Candy must be victorious for her body. Something like that is what I'd do at least. Clive might surprise us. Perhaps Boa is as wonderful as people claim and she simply shares the body with Candy. -shrugs- As for Carrion, he has to die. If he isn't dead now, he needs to die in the future. Carrion is evil, and it's unlikely for him to be let off the hook at the end. Even if he does have redemption, can you imagine Carrion happily living the rest of his life in peace? No, there's no happy ending for him, unfortunately, and therefor he must die to tie up potential loose ends. I can't see a situation where he lives, but Clive has been known to surprise me before, so we'll just have to see.

Carrion...i agree that he isn't getting any happily ever after. Some peace however, is possible. The way CB writes him, I think we are supposed to feel a little compassion, so I doubt he will let that emotion go to waste. SOMETHING good will happen to Carrion (before he dies).
As for Boa...her and Candy will definitely have some difficulties. But I think it would be hard to truly hate your other half, so at the most I can see them quarreling. I DO see Boa sacrificing herself. It would separate her and Candy, allow her to die properly, and still keep her as a 'good' character. I also think her sacrifice might be necessary after Absolute Midnight or the Requiax... but we shall see. Boa is hard to predict because we know so little about her character. I bet that will take up a lot of the third book.
Candy will do the hero stuff. Save the Abarat. Get better at magic. Make amends with her family (I guess her father will die or something) and then she will live out the rest of her days traveling back and forth between both worlds on Malingo's ship or something. I can't imagine her living with the Fantomaya even though they hinted at it.
