Have you guys seen it (3D, regular)? Did you like it? I saw it, and it was okay, not the best. Definitely not a PG movie. Johnny was awesome, but I felt the "love" between him and Alice was creepy. At the end, I was just waiting for them to kiss, it was so gross like that. Alan Rickman and Christopher Lee=AWESOME!

I havent seen it yet because I've been out of town, but I NEED TO SEE IT.
Fan confession time:
Alan Rickman... I've literally had dreams of meeting him before. If it ever happened, I would ask him to sign a part of my body and I would IMMEDIATELY get it tattooed. The sad thing is, as pathetic as this sounds, I'm not joking, not even a little bit. Despite being old enough to be my grandfather (he's 64 to be precise), he is my BIGGEST celebrity crush. I would give up an entire week with Clive Barker just to walk past Alan Rickman in a hallway. I would never read an Abarat book again just to hear Alan Rickman say my name. Part of it is his looks, part of it is the characters he plays, but it's also the voice... oh... the voice... it's a symphony... -swoon-
So now you all know one of the most embarrassing things about me. Have fun mocking me for the remainder of this forum's life.

I went to see it opening weekend. It was amazingly ridiculously impossible, and I loved it. Johnny Depp was awesome, as always, and the Cheshire Cat was hilarious. I was kind of expecting a thing between Hatter and Alice too, but I guess not. Maybe in a/the sequel?

I meant that love thing was gross. But that's just me. I don't blame you for liking Alan. One question, though: HOW IS THAT MAN 65??!! No man should look or sound that good for his age. I don't blame you, he could be my grandpa and I think he is sexy.

I saw it the Sunday after it came out in 3D, and I have to say, I was rather dissappointed. With the cast it had, as well as the director, I think it could have been a LOT better. I think the biggest let down for me was Depp's Hatter. I dont know what he was, but he was definitely a huge let down; his accent was weird and impossible to understand at times, and he didnt strike me as mad, just....trying too hard to be eccentric. YES, I definitely felt the romance vibe between Hatter and Alice, and I too think it would have been really weird! (Unlike Syfy's Alice where it was greatly anticipated ) Oh and :-*Alan

I totally agree with you on everything you said. They did need to enunciate a little. I've never seen the syfy version, although I would like to.

I finally saw it!
I have to say that I really kind of liked the romantic vibes between Alice and Hatter. Just because it wasn't really overtly romantic, they didn't kiss or anything, but it was just sweet and it left me wondering about their future. Because they definitely didn't end up together. It was a "love" but it wasn't cliched. Also, I liked how the beautiful leading lady didn't end up with some handsome hero. Alice (who was sooo beautiful, I loved this actress) was having feelings potentially for some insane, frightening-looking guy a lot older than her.
If they had explored it more it would have really, really freaked me out but as it was it was just cute and innocent, imho.
I really did like this movie. Maybe I even loved this movie? But my biggest, and really my only complaint is that sometimes i was like WTF ARE THEY SAYING? I mean, of course it's crazy Wonderland words but still... hahaha

I finally saw this film, in 3D of course! I have to say that the Hatter/Alice vibes must have passed me by. They both seemed like such innocent characters, albeit the Hatter is crazy, that nothing was creepy to me. I'm looking forward to seeing the film again though, I want to have a Alice in Wonderland themed party too!!
