So, I recently discovered what I consider to be the most awesome show in existence, "Stargate Universe". It's a branch-off of the original series ("Stargate"), which was a movie of the same title, and of the sequel ("Stargate Atlantis"). By the way, these are all sci-fi shows. Only one season has come out yet, and it only had 8 episodes, but I'm completely hooked. The basic story line is that a group of civilians and a couple of soldiers are stranded on an ancient (Ancient) ship called Destiny. There are basically two people fighting for control: Colonel Everett Young, the experienced military leader; and Dr. Nicholas Rush, the brilliant scientist (played by Robert Carlyle, on whom I have a gigantic crush. ) There's also this lady named Wray from the government, but I'm not sure where she stands. Anyway, the first couple of episodes are about the refugees trying to fix the ship, keep from dying, find a place to get off, and to keep from murdering Rush in a fit of anger. If I say anymore I'll give it all away. I really suck at explaining and describing things, but I think I got the general idea across. Does anyone else watch this show? So far I've only found two other people I know who've even heard of Stargate, which is sort of depressing. I'm babbling.

Oh I'm glad I'm not the only one that finds Robert Carlyle hwat! I think it's is accent/hard man act. I haven't come across this series, it seems like it would be something that is not shown on regular tv, by would probably be on Sky and I don't have sky.

I've never watched Stargate anything before, but the convention I go to every year (Dragon*con) is fulllllllllllllllllllll of Stargate fans. The convention is in September, so it was over before Universe premiered (I believe). But the number of SG-1 and Atlantis fans is really surprising. The lines to see cast members are INSANE.
