Just found out what the poem at the end of Abarat 3 is, only four words, but it's really pretty:
"If silence, therefore song"
I found it twitter stalking clive barker
what do you think?

Hmmm, or could be something more sinister... Such as someone or something having killed everyone and now there is only silence left.
Edit: Twitter stalking Clive Barker is defo the way to go for Abarat news! ;D

I don't ever see anything Abarat related in his twitter posts. Being an erotica writer, it makes me giddy reading his blunt, sexual Tweets. I looooove you Cliiiiiiiiivee
As for the end poem... I honestly don't like it... :/ I feel stupid but it just doesn't make sense to me. My brain is screaming THIS ISN'T A SENTENCE.

hmmm, redstockings, never thought of it that way, I hope no one dies (like that will ever happen ) .He never really mentions anything Abarat , only back when he delivered it to his editor, which was around when he posted the poem. (I can't believe I never stalked his twitter before!) I now check it every day, hoping for any tiny bit of info.

wow, I can only imagine, that would be awesome (and probably sick). His posts are so strange, but worth it.

Anyway, 's not a sentence, it's a conjecture. If--then. If silence, then song. I like it; it's so ambiguous, it can be interpreted any number of ways.

Hahaha I blame Clive for it. Some of his sex scenes that I read as a kid were so fantastically graphic but so well written that I became addicted. If I ever speak to him again, I'm going to tell him that reading his novels inspired me to write horrible porn. And honestly, I think he'd enjoy knowing that. I mean, have you seen some of his non-Abarat paintings? hahahaha! Ooohhh Clive <3

I have on his website, they are amazingly disturbing and sick, but being perverted I can't help but glance for a second before I start gagging, and also it doesn't help that our computer is in the living room, where my mom can see. call me weird, lol

I probably wouldn't actually be that disturbed by them... Not 'cause I'm a pervert or anything, just because I've seen a lot of things that Cannot Be Unseen, and I've developed a turtle shell around my mind. Literally, a turtle shell.

Lol, this conversation is funny to read and totally went off topic. I'm giggling. The "poem" is interesting...hmm...brain food! I deleted my twitter account, which kinda makes me sad because I miss all his posts. But I do remember the T/D one. At least he proves old gay men can have good sex lives, I guess. I have not seen his erotica art, but I remember that when I met him, my mum wouldn't look at the book he was advertising (I don't remember what it was, a book of paintings, and I had a poster of it that he signed and is somewhere buried in my mum's garage) because there was nakedness in it (I was 12-13 at the time, so I get it). However, I would probably not be shocked, like Kaito, since I have seen and experienced way too many weird things.

You can still access twitter without an account, I do it all the time. Just punch in clive barker on twitter on a search engine of choice and you can get in directly, no need to miss the craziness.
