Ohayu gozaimasu! Konnichiwa! Konbanwa! (Whichever is appropriate)
Watashi wa Kaito desu.
I like Japanese culture. You may have gotten that. I like all of Japanese culture, not just the part of it that is occupied by very stylized people. History, traditional art, music, poetry, programmed social responses, the whole shebang. Not just the manga, although I am guilty of being a fangirl. NOT a rabid fangirl. There is a very large difference between a rabid fangirl and a nonrabid fangirl, which I'm not gonna bother ta explain here.
I love birds. Birds're epic. Epic epic epic epic epic epic epic. Epic. And some more epic. Get the idea? I like struthionidae, accipitridae, buteo, psittacines, parulidae... You get the picture. [Translation: ostrich-type birds, falcons/eagles, hawks/vultures, parrots, songbirds...] If it's class Aves, I love it. With the exception of chickens. I simply cannot find it in me to like chickens. Some chickens. It depends on the chicken in question. They have different personalities. Some'
Anyway. Birds smell good. Have you ever smelled a bird? Kind of dusty smell, sun and burning rock/sand, but with some mist and rain mixed in... Does that make sense? Probably not... But different kinds of birds smell different. Chickens don't smell quite like that. Parakeets have more of the heat element, less of the water... Hawks are cold, sharp, kind of snow-y but burning hot at the same time... Embers, yeah. Ember-y smell. But with snow mixed in. Snow and embers. Ice and embers.
Ignore my strange ramblings, plzkthx.
I write a lot. My brain spawns fanfiction ideas faster than I can write them. And original fiction ideas, come to that. Poetry muses are rarer, and I tend to nurse them for longer, so I write less poetry, though it's probably better than my prose.
I read an incredible amount. Seven to fifteen books a week, averaging two hundred, three hundred pages, not counting manga and fanfiction. I prefer fantasy to sci-fi, though it's just so hard to find decent fantasy these days... -sigh- Why I like Abarat. Plus, Abarat is just so weird... Anyway. If you read a lot like me, send a PM! ;D I'm always up for book discussion.
