What do you think lies beyond the twenty five islands? An abyss? Sea monsters? The empty sea? A giant pink bunny rabbit named Fluffy the Awesome? Your goal: Tell us what you think is out there. Be as descriptive as possible and preferably longer than one paragraph/6 sentences. Rules: No stealing ideas. If your idea is similar to one already posted, change it or email me before you post it. You don't need permission, just so I know. Write clearly. No chat speak or run-on sentences, please. Nothing to graphic. (Not too worried about this one, but just in case.) Have fun. The contest ends November 1, at midnight. When I get home from school the 2nd I'm judging. Sorry, I don't know how to convert time over for different areas. If you really, really need extra time email me, I'l move it back. The winner will be the most creative entry that makes sense. If anyone has really good art skills and a lot of extra time, picture awards for the first, second, and third place winners would be awesome, as I don't draw nor do I have a scanner. Sorry. Ask if you have any questions. Good luck.

Here's my entry in poem form. Hope that's okay!
Remember This...
I know what is wrong, so no crying, no pouts How they tell us what the world is about with rules and plans that they’ve stuck you to, but I’ll tell you something that is very true
Don’t listen to them and their reality speeches The stuff that they spout will never reach us Let’s make our own world Where we glide on the stars We’ll sail on the ocean in tiny mobile cars Let’s sing ancient languages and travel to space so we can use our knowledge to create a new race The animals mixed up with tails on their noses Tulips will be adorned Tul-Roses The trees speak French to Spanish tongue air, while people navigate the winds in large boats to greet neighboring zebras with spots on their throats I can not describe how the sunset will be So you’ll just have to be there to see it with me
We can knit together a brand new life Just give this a chance You can’t live twice

Pixler observed the men and women hard at work, their brows furrowed in concentration. As they hurried here and there putting the final touches to Pixler’s greatest invention, no one dared to mutter a word against the great plan: To explore beyond the horizons. Pixler’s great dream of owning the Abarat rivalled other ambitious minds around the island, but no one had ever desired to own anything more.
The great ship stood proud in the dry dock, casting the world around it into shadows. Pixler’s grin stretched wide as he realised he would eclipse anything brave enough to sail the Izabella, crushing it under the prow. Stepping forward, he spread his arms wide in triumph, causing the work to halt. “Flood the dock!” he declared, his grin never leaving his face, even when his employees scrambled for their lives away from the sudden rush of water. “We are ready…”
*** The sky overhead was filled with stars as the great ship sailed away from Pyon, crossing the sea with immense speed, leaving powerful waves in its wake. Below the decks, creatures toiled with the dirty hot machines, loading them with fuel coughing smoke out their lungs. Pixler strode along the deck, looking out at the sea and marvelling at his own daring. He wondered what he would find, out beyond the horizon, past the reach of his eye.
*** The moment the storm broke brought with it hysteria. The sheets of rain pounded the deck and the rough winds threatened to tip the ship, and all it’s souls, over into the Izabella. Clinging to the side, stinging rain whipping his face, Pixler screamed for them to continue fighting the storm. Unable to do anything but hope, the frightened crew did their best to stay on their feet and keep the ship afloat.
Passing over the edge of the world was as terrifying as they had been promised, superstitiously they believed they were travelling into realms unknown, ripping open the very core of the Abarat and changing the natural order. But as the ship threatened to rip apart, the sky began to change and the collective wishing of those aboard was answered and peaceful skies came once more. As the severe rocking motion came to an end, the crew ventured onto the deck to observe the bizarre new world they’d discovered. Floating under a large stone bridge, Pixler stood amazed at the enormous turning wheel that stood on the edge of the water, towering up into the sky.
Metal machines rushed along the other side of the river, one after the other, never ending in their parade. Behind them the bridge revealed itself to be like nothing Pixler had ever seen, nor imagined. It reminded him of Midnight, with its tower like ends, guarding either side of the water. Behind it a tall pillar like object attached to an ornate building showed a circular disk with numbers around the edges. Two sticks pointed to separate numbers.
“The time!” Pixler said in wonderment. “We are in the hereafter!” Looking around wildly, he noticed a large circular sign along the side of the river. LONDON UNDERGROUND. “London,” Pixler repeated bemused. This place was not the same as the hereafter he had read about, this was something new. (( I hope that this entry makes sense, I've based it on the idea that travelling in different directions from the Abarat equals landing in different places in our world. ;D)

Great job, guys. I'd enter myself but I have a backlog of dumb essays to write, so I'm a bit busy I can't wait to see who wins, though!

Haha, it's kind of tempting to copy Lady and say you both win. Both entries are awesome, and I regret starting this, because it's hard to choose.
