Just something silly, probably not worth it's own topic, but I just wanted to say that my city is slowly being submerged in water and I can't help but think of Abarat. Some details - - At least 2 major highways closed - 200 schools closed tomorrow - 6 dead so far - under a boil water advisory - meaning our tap water has been contaminated - many cities are without power or water - floodwater has been sweeping away cars, including at least one eighteen wheeler - people are actively being evacuated by police officers in BOATS - entire neighborhoods lost underwater (including one that is literally within walking distance of my house) It makes me want to write loads and loads of Abarat fanfiction. While I can't say I know exactly how the people in Chickentown feel, seeing as there are no giant sea beasts swimming around and an army of stitchlings haven't invaded with their evil master. But I do feel a certain special connection with Candy now hahaha Plus I really wanted an excuse to post this funny picture. Attachments:

Haha that picture is awesome. What was Kanye West thinking? Well, I guess he always was a bit of a twit. I had to cringe watching that, in fact every time it's replayed on youtube it looks even worse. I hope the flood misses your house!!

My house is on pretty high ground so I think I'm okay! (knock on wood) At least I actually live at home again, before I lived in a dorm at a college about an hour or two away and that whole part of town is an absolute disaster right now. However, so many roads are closed or flooded around here that leaving my house is where it gets a bit tricky...
BTW - forgot to mention in the top post - my state is the leading chicken producer in the United States. Specifically the city of Gainesville is full of chicken factories and farms. I don't know if there is a whole lot of flooding there, but wouldn't that be just perfect? hahaha

Yeah, I don't think Minnesota even has enough chickens in it to really have any sort of... what's the word, maybe market, for it? I live here, er, there, and I haven't seen a live chicken since I was 5. Yeah, I know, factories, but still.
