So I was checking Revelations to see if they had posted what time book 3 would be. I knew it would be hopeless, but then I saw the red print. I thought it was going to be good, but when is something red good news? "He delivered the full manuscript to his editor in the summer of 2009, so publication of Abarat 3 is now likely to be sometime late in 2010. " Ouch. Don't want to believe it? Here's the link. (Why oh why?!) www.clivebarker.info/newbooksc.html

Guys, I hate to be a total jerk (there are better, but worse, words that should go here) but I'm sort of losing faith. As un-active as I've been recently, the trend will probably continue until more news about the upcoming book is released. My heart will always be in the Abarat, and I respect Clive Barker for taking his time and working on other things, but there are only so many years I can go on this way.
This sounds like some sort of suicide note...
How do you guys feel about starting a new RP that we can pull off even in Lady of Midnight's absence so that I have an excuse to continue visiting this website?

How do you guys feel about starting a new RP that we can pull off even in Lady of Midnight's absence so that I have an excuse to continue visiting this website? First of all, I completely understand you on the first stuff. My activity has been twindling too, and for similar reasons. But I think that it's a great idea to start another RPG! Something a little bit easier to get off the ground without a captain, perhaps? It would be nice if we could keep our old characters, though. I've worked pretty hard on mine (as I'm sure everybody has on their characters) and it feels like a waste not to use her. That, of course, depends on what kind of setting and timeframe we choose.

A new RPG sounds like a good idea. There hasn't been a lot to comment on lately, other than the suspected new release date, which now we know wasn't true anyway. I agree, we should keep our characters, unless anyone wants to make new ones. Or prehaps we should have more than one each? Depends what we decide to RP I suppose.

It would depend on the setting and situation we decide on. I love Puck, but he's supposed to be this really over-the-top ridiculous character and I may want to switch to someone more serious. Aside from that, though... I absolutely love making up new characters. I'm going to start a new thread about the RP. I want to see some ideas.
