I love reading these online. I figured... why not do an Abarat one? I play this game with my friends all of the time in reality, but never about Abarat because none of them like it quite as much as I do. But... basically you post on here with confessions about your obsession with Abarat. Try to keep it an actual confession, and not just a statement. Instead of posting "I love Christopher Carrion!" post, "When Christopher Carrion died, I was so depressed that I had to stay home from work for a week" (not a confession of mine, just an example ) I understand if you guys aren't comfortable doing this. I'd like to think it's anonymous enough on this website for us to never have to fear facing each other in reality. If it's something sexual, keep it vague. I think that saying, "I think of Malingo when I hook up with my boyfriend" is okay, but going into graphic detail is NOT. (again, not a confession of mine, just an example!!) Anyone up for this? Or is it just too personal?

Alright, *Clears throat and stands up* My name is Red Stockings, and I am a Abarat Addict. My confession is rather sad, but I guess that's the nature of this, er game.
I've wondered, what would Christtopher Carrion think/say if he was a passenger in my car? Would he be hanging on for dear life? I could imagine him saying, "Well I don't think much of your gear changing. You're slamming the breaks on purpose! Are you trying to give me wiplash!?!?!?!?" Sigh, too many long car journey's with little to think about = going mad.
Ok, now don't let me be the only one! ;D

Oh dear, I love it, Red!! I could see him totally pulling the annoyed child look with his arms crossed. =D
I admit, I totally wish that Candy and Carrion could somehow wind up working in the end, consensually. I think Letheo would be a huge heart breaker in real life, millions of fangirls, even if he does have scales. I mean, hello, sexiness! =D

Mine are all SOSOSO embarrassing hahaha here's one for you guys to laugh at me over:
After talking to Clive Barker on the phone, I was so overwhelmed that I cried until I was physically ill. Literally - I had to miss work the next day.

I don't think I would ever even go back to work after that!! You seriously talked to him on the phone? Holy crap! I mean, I met him in person, but I didn't really get a chance to talk to him as much as I did David. I am so jealous!!

A couple of years ago, my friend called me and was like "Hey! I'm at ComicCon, there's someone you need to talk to!" And the phone was given to someone else, and I heard "Hello, Love" and just about died. We had a whole little conversation. I told him that I've read loads of his book but Abarat was my favorite and he told me he was glad because he loves Abarat too. Most of the conversation is a blur... it only lasted about five minutes. But I died. And then the next year I saw him in person at ComicCon but didn't get to speak with him. Another fandom confession - my friend (who is a really amazing artist who is paid for her work) once drew me a nude picture of Malingo for a present

I would have seen heaven. That is so amazing!! Gah, I want to go to ComicCon sooooo bad. My friends and I are thinking of taking a road trip when we graduate and going across the mountains to Cali. Do you live there? And I'm jealous of that too! You should see if she wouldn't mind you scanning it, so we all can see ^^ Even if you have to have a watermark or something, it would be so worth it.

I live in Atlanta, but my best friend moved to San Diego after 8th grade, and I usually go to visit her. I haven't been able to in a year or two, though. It's expensive! I suggest going to ComicCon, though, really - I've met SO many celebrities there. I've got autographs from almost all of my favorite people in the world! Also, I don't think she'd want me to post it anywhere She doesn't post her work online at all so I don't think she'd appreciate it - especially since it's just a sketch and she probably thinks it's not the same quality as her usual work.

Abaratian, I don't think you can possibly know how much I fangirl you right now. I mean, I'm stuck between wanting to squee my face off and a tidal wave of jeaousy. XD
Sometimes it sucks so much to live in Sweden. ComicCon (and other cons) are just a big, shiny, unattainable dream. >_>
AND you've got a nuddie of Malingo??? I agree, SHARE PLZ! XDDD
Edit: Ah, okay, just saw what you wrote there. Of course you have to respect your friend's wishes. *nods* <3

Really? I looked at the ticket prices, I thought they were only $20? Or are you talking about food and lodging too? It does seem really cool, though. Aww, okay. Well, it was worth a shot, you lucky, lucky lady!

I'm talking about flying over there and paying for stuff - everything in California from gas to food is more expensive than where I live. The tickets themselves are actually priced very, very reasonably - better than the $100 dragon*con tickets that I pay for every year

Dragon*con is in Atlanta, Georgia - if any of you guys ever go there you should tell me! We can party Dragon*con doesn't have a lot that I'm interested in... ComicCon is more my scene. But Dragon*con is a lot like Babilonium- with all the costumes, freak shows, concerts, dances, raves, and balls it's like a four-day-long party! I'll post some pictures here if you guys want

Haha, if I ever wound up making a trip to Atlanta for a con, it would most likely be for "Furry Weekend Atlanta"

Hmmm.... >3 One of the writing proficiency essays that I wrote to be able to graduate high school had this prompt- Write about a book you read that you would recommend.Guess what I wrote about? I'm a huge Letheo fan, but not necessarily a 'fangirl'. Somehow I feel they are different. I'm pathologically unable to insert myself or an OC into a preexisting story. However, I think Candy shares some of my best qualities, so the passages with the two of them are immensely satisfying to my imagination. Once when I went to one of my sister's softball practices, I brought along DMNW to read (if my adorable little sister is not doing anything, then it's not important </3). When it started to get cold, windy and dusty, I stuffed the book under my jacket as if it was a chihuahua or something ;¬¬ Hee, that was fun. I'm sure I'll think of some more~

Um... I don't know what to say... Ah! But don't laugh. Or at least, don't tell me you laughed. Being a silly teenage fangirl, I have, at one point or another, had a crush on quite a few of the major male characters. I have also had more than one dream about taking people's places in the Abarat books. The one about being Boa was weird... and graphic. I, too, have wondered how the characters native to the Abarat(i.e. Carrion, Malingo, Mater Motley, etc.) would react to things from the Hereafter. For example, what would they think of our music? Lady Gaga, Nightwish, Susan Boyle, or Evanescence. Lol, it would be fun to see their reactions.

Whenever I listen to music, I like to think of Abarat characters' reactions, too!
But here's another confession. Probably my biggest confession I could probably spill to you guys... Since we're bringing up fangirl crushes...I've never crushed on an Abarat character, except...
I absolutely love Leeman Vol with all of my heart D:
To the extent that I desperately want to tell Clive Barker.
That's it, you guys. My secret's been told and now I have to leave the fandom forever.

Hehe, I am laughing because you are so cute about it, that's it!!! The way you write it all small and now want to tell Clive. =) And hey, that's why they are book characters, cause we can love them as much as we want and they will never know!!! BUAHAHA! BUT DON'T LEAVE!!!
