So, what is your favorite painting out of the Abarat books so far? I have a few favorites...the one of Letheo, the one of the jetty from the chapter, Morningtide~Events on the Jetty and the other one that shows the jetty in Where is When~The Tale of Hark's Harbor. All of the paintings are just gorgeous, though. Full of rich colors and such imagery. I haven't done a search for them in awhile, but the last time I looked, you could get repros of the paintings, but man, they were so expensive.

Favorite painting is of Lord Carrion himself it looks scary as hell but sad that he is stuck that way. The paintings are vibrant and full of life I would give my brother up for one thats for sure.

I love all of the paintings, and I love how they're a part of the story.
Two of my favorites are the one of Carrion and the one near the end of Book Two with the giant city-ship. ^-^

Ooh! I agree with inkstitchling. I love the city-ship picture. And the Carrion picture is beautiful. I also really like the picture at Babilonium and the picture of the lighthouse. Clive is such a talented artist that really I just love them all.

I love all the paintings. They are all really beautiful. I love the one of Carrion! OMG! lol. I also really like the one of the whole Abarat. I love the painting of Mater Motely as well. She is an amazingly crazy looking character.

Oh! I forgot the one of Motley sitting on that giant creepish claw-hand working away at a stitchling. That one's just great!

I love the map-painting, some of the pics of the tarrie-cats, and definately the big one with the ship and the jetty. I do like the art in the second book better than in the first, but that's just me... Also, I find that the pic of Henry Murkitt and the one of his thing (word escapes me, curse it!) make lovely avatars.

I like the carrion estate on fire, from the second book. (The picture ofcourse not the fact that it burned down...) But its so intricate that I can stare at it for hours.

The map painting is a good one. The Carrion picture from book 1, of course. And the Mater Motely pictures are always so creepy they're cool.

I like a lot... A few of them are the island painting; the one of Boa in the 2nd; the three pictures of Carrion in the 2nd; the city-ship; the Carrion Mansion on fire (beautiful but disturbing); the one of the rooftops of the Dead Man's House; and the Wormwood. But they're all good. Except the one where Wolfswinkel's dead on the floor.
