I have just ordered 2 books from amazon.
They are 'To Say Nothing of the Dog' by Connie Willis and 'Sorcery and Cecelia or The Enchanted Chocolate Pot: Being the Correspondence of Two Young Ladies of Quality Regarding Various Magical Scandals in London and the Country' by Patricia C. Wrede, Caroline Stevermer.
As you can see, the second has a very long name. I think thats mostly why i found it interesting. So has any one read these books or anything by these authors?

I used to love Patricia C. Wrede! I read her books obsessively throughout middle school. You should really enjoy her book, but I've never heard of Connie Willis.
If you end up liking Patricia C. Wrede's book, you should read her other stuff. And I also suggest Tamora Pierce, whose books are a lot like hers and she also has strong female characters in her books. After those, you should definitely read Howl's Moving Castle. They all have the same sort of feel to them, especially Tamora Pierce's Song of the Lioness series, I think it's called. The main character is, along with Candy, one of the only female main characters I've ever really loved.

well i just finished the book by Patricia C. Wrede. I must say i liked it very much. Its a good light read. i want to get the sequel. And im in the middle of the one by Connie Willis. Its excellent. Its complex and very funny. Though i dont usually like science fiction, this book is changing my mind.

A friend gave me Sorcery & Cecelia for Christmas and I absolutely loved it! Unfortunately, the sequel couldn't hold my interest.

Howl's Moving Castle is a book by Diana Wynne Jones, and I love it! It's different from the movie (as always) but it's just as wonderful. It also happens to have a sequel, which I have yet to read.

It's a regular novel, not graphic.
I've heard its a lot different from the Studio Ghibli version, so that's why I've been apprehensive to see the movie. I love Studio Ghibli and I'm afraid that if it's too different from the book it might ruin my opinion of them. There are a bunch of sequels which I haven't read, well, actually most of them are just set in the same world. It's a brilliant book, the only negative thing I can say is that the ending is too fast.

The movie by Studio Ghibli is amazing. I looove their work. That's awesome that its a regular novel. I'm pretty sure they made a graphic/manga type novel thing for it though based on the movie.
