Great job! Did you scan those pictures, or find them online? I ask because I'd been looking for that pic of Candy online for ages to make an icon of. I don't have a scanner, so I can't just take the ones from my book.

These are fantastic. I love the Leeman Vol one. He's so cute. I'd also like to know where you found the source images, or if you just scanned them in from your copy. Like A., I've been looking for the paintings for a while and I don't have a scanner myself.

But I found this nifty page which have tons of Clive Barker's original artwork! I've only cropped, tweaked the colors, added some brushes and all that jazz. All the original goodies are here: www.clivebarker.info/artindex.htmlEnjoy!

I understand your fear of breaking the book, though.
I have two copies of the first Abarat book. One is hardcover - it's been abused tremendously. It's the one I've lent to all of my friends, demanding they read it. It's been through a lot. There's a stain on the back that I've tried to cover with foil, so half of the back is really shiny and pretty, but then I ran out of foil hahaha. My other copy is paperback, and only I've read it. It's in such good condition that I could take it to the bookstore and return it like 6 years after I bought it first. Not a page bent, not a single crease in the spine. When I read it, I hardly open it more than a couple of inches. It has a very prominent spot in the front of my bookcase. The other copy is never on a bookcase, because it's always beside my bed, on the coffee table, in my tote bag, on vacations with me... No joking whatsoever, I've probably read the first Abarat book over 100, maybe even over 200 times. I can hardly remember a period of my life where I haven't been reading it.

Wow, I'm impressed! I love the bit about the foil. What you describe sounds like my first copy of Good Omens, haha! I'm buying the first book for my sister's birthday. I only have one copy of each and both are soft covers. I've read them in hardcover, though. In Swedish. But now I bought them in English and are ready to start over.

Lol, oh yes, I'm a devoted Pratchett-fan (anxiously waiting for another Discworld novel XD)! Good Omens is my favorite, though... it sounds horrible to have it in storage!

Terry Pratchett lives up the road from me. I missed him at the bookshop though, when he came to sign copies. I had to go to boring work. Curse you work! I love the last icon with Mater Motley, ha, so funny. And the one with the squeeeeee!

OHhh those are good! Awesome. Thanks for the link too. I never would have thought to check his site for images. I usually try to google but I can never find anything good.
The only Prachett I've read was The Last Hero. It was awesomely amazing and I looove it. Are his other books just as good? They aren't like graphic novels though like that one was huh? sad. The pictures are awesome.

Hee, thank you! I'm so glad you like them! <3 No, I think The Last Hero is his only graphics novel. *le sigh* But his other books are amazing! I'd start with Men at Arms och Wyrd Sisters and take it from there. Heh, I tried google too, but was sorely disappointed. But his site is a goldmine!

Ok, sorry if this is a stupid question, but what is an icon for? Is it like the picture of Taye on Usagi's profile thingy? Or is it just to look at?
